I enjoyed many great wines last year that you might like, I thought this year I would share them with you. I may share the people, places and foods that accompanied the wine as good wine should always be shared, or it may be a straight tasting with some information about the winemaker, style or vineyard.
Some will be available currently others will be from the cellar. I hope you enjoy reading the tasting notes and look forward to your feedback.
I will post tasting notes dependent on the inspirational or interesting wine consumption quotient. Great to have you along for the ride.

2010 Audrey Wilkinson The Ridge Semillon.
What a way to ring in the new year. It was late in the night so what this notes lacks in detail it will make up for in enthusiasm.
One of my favourite varietals that the Hunter Valley does so well. This mid age Semillon had the intense lemon lime crispness that you would expect and displayed a flinty dry finish with a hint of an earthy pithy note.
I had been looking forward to trying this one and was not disappointed. It went very well with freshly cooked prawn sandwiches and the excellent company of my beloved, who struggles on bravely with being second taster.
